Established in 1844 by German missionaries in the Lutheran Church. 1100+ students Located in one of the most economically underserved areas of KwaZulu Natal Province near Durban, South Africa 79% of students qualify for student grants. Nearly 200 students qualify as orphans or vulnerable children Because the government does not provide for educational resources, maintenance or infrastructure; 100% of funding for these items comes from private donations. The Dr. Bettye Bouey Yates Foundation has led the way in funding a wide range of critical projects from infrastructure to technology and other educational resources. Despite these challenges, the School ranks second among 6000 schools in the KwaZulu Natal District.
